Barney Burnham

Barney Burnham has worked in broadcasting for over 25 years. He presented a wide range of programmes on LBC from 1987-90 and then spent eight years as a presenter on Melody Radio in London.

From 1999 to 2011 he was a regular newsreader/writer with Sky News Radio, serving the entire independent radio network. He also worked regularly at Talksport from 2011 to 2012 and was also a newsreader/writer at internet radio station “Monocle24” which began broadcasting in November 2011 .

He’s also one of the voices of the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s recorded version of their “MS Matters” magazine.

Away from the radio studio Barney works for London Wasps rugby club, writing match reports and programme features, as well as doing audio and video interviews for the website. In his spare time, he is a volunteer tour guide at Twickenham rugby stadium.


Since 1993 he’s helped university applicants with interview training, at a number of leading independent schools.

Has done 7 long sponsored walks, covering nearly 700 miles, and helping to raise nearly £200,000 for charities including Clic Sargent, Breast Cancer UK, the Salvation Army, SpecialEffect, the Dallaglio Foundation, The Professional Rugby Players' Benevolent Fund, The Matt Hampson Trust and the recently formed Matt Hampson Foundation
