Mike Carson


Mike Carson has been a broadcaster and voiceover artist for more than 40 years. He first began broadcasting at the age of 17 on hospital radio and then joined BBC Radio Oxford a year later. He joined LBC in London in 1973 and presented their overnight phone-in from 1981. He was a BBC Local Radio Breakfast Presenter during the mid-1990s and then a ‘DJ’ on London’s Melody FM – later Magic 105.4. Mike has also been a continuity announcer for LWT and British Forces Television and for many years was one of the regular interviewers and presenters of syndicated radio material for news agency “PR Newswire” (formerly Two-Ten Communications).

Since 2008 Mike has been the ‘Voice of JML’ – the video promotions seen on screens in many hardware and department stores. (“Take yours to the check-out now”!) In addition Mike also provides many voice-overs for corporate videos. Clients have included the British Airports Authority, Electrolux, 3M and IBM. He is also one of the current voices on the audio version of the MS Society’s magazine “MS Matters”. He is also the "off-screen" voice introducing Michael McIntyre at the start of the BBC's "Michael McIntyre's Big Show".
